Employee drug testing is being carried out by organisations more commonly due to the general recognition that the use of alcohol and other recreational drugs can present a hazard in the workplace. Drug testing may also be useful in pre- employment assessments.

At Princess Park Clinic we conduct Drug and Alcohol Screening in accordance with the Australian Standards via our onsite pathologist Healthscope.

The dietitian at Princess Park Clinic provides individualised dietary advice to help improve health and prevent or manage chronic disease.

Some conditions that the dietitian can assist with include weight management, pre-diabetes & diabetes, high blood pressure,
high cholesterol, osteoporosis, chronic constipation/diarrhoea and diverticular disease to name a few. Please ask your doctor if you are eligible for a Medicare rebate for your visit.

Aviation medicals can be performed at Princess Park clinic by our accredited Designated Aviation Medical Examiner (DAME), Dr Ron Tomkins.
At the time of making an appointment you will be asked to quote an Aviation Reference Number (ARN). If you do not have an ARN, please contact CASA on 131757.
There are three classes of aviation medicals being:
Commercial pilots (Class 1)
Pilots are required to have a basic medical as well as ancillary tests such as an ECG, and blood tests. Commercial Pilots will also be provided with a referral to a ophthalmologist and audiologist depending on your age at the time of the medical.
Private pilots (Class 2)
Are required to have a basic medical but not the additional ancillary tests.
Air Traffic Controllers (Class 3)
Are required to have the basic medical but not the additional ancillary tests.

Please allow 1 hour for the medical and ensure you discuss any fees payable at the time of making an appointment with our friendly reception staff. Medicals are not covered by Medicare.

Princess Park Clinic doctors provide WorkCover Injury Management consultations. We understand the need for the efficient processing of companies workers compensation claims is essential in assisting injured workers to get into the workforce as soon as possible.
We also encourage Doctor communication with the employer relating to alternative duties and familiarity with requirements of the job role.

Influenza (commonly know as the ‘flu’) costs Australian companies millions of dollars per year in staff absenteeism. Supporting a corporate influenza vaccination programme in your workplace can assist in reducing workplace absences.
Princess Park Clinic Flu vaccinations run from March to July each year. Princess Park Clinic will send a Doctor and Medical Assistant out to your workplace at a suitable time to administer vaccinations. The team are equipped with equipment in the event of an allergic reaction or emergency.
A minimum of 10 staff are required for offsite vaccinations.

Dr Rachel Adams conducts a Paediatric and Adolescent clinic focusing on parents and children. As a busy mum herself she has a great deal of empathy and understanding for parents with unwell children. This clinic is dedicated to under 21 year olds and also pregnancy and breast feeding issues.

This health assessment is for an older person is an in-depth assessment of a patient aged 75 years and over.

The 45+ health check is available to people between 45 and 49 years of age who are at risk of developing a chronic disease.

The aim of the men's health check is to identify risks and put strategies in place to prevent ill health. If a health problem exists, then by detecting the problem early we can aim for better management of the problem, and minimise complications.

Our friendly nurses offer a nail cutting service for patients who have difficulty managing this for themselves. Please call our friendly reception staff to make an appointment.

Our dedicated Nurse, Kathy conducts personalised weight management sessions. Patients have a weekly appointment for a period of 12 weeks where the Nurse will discuss diet and exercise and give patients support and tools to assist them on their weight loss journey.

Dr David Coulthard conducts full skin checks including photography and dermatoscopy using ‘Skinscope technology’. A variety of surgical and non surgical treatments for pre-cancerous lesions are available.

The Diabetes Cycle of care aims to encourage GPs to provide effective management of people with established diabetes. A cycle of care sets out the minimum requirements a GP should complete for a patient with diabetes. Good management of diabetes includes foot & eye checks as well as regular Blood & Urine tests. 

It involves a patient making an appointment with their doctor for them to start the process.

A TCA enables a doctor to coordinate the preparation of a Team Care Arrangement for a patient who has a chronic or terminal medical condition and also requires ongoing care from a multidisciplinary team of at least three health or care providers.

The Chronic Disease Management Plan enables GPs to manage the health care of patients with chronic or terminal medical conditions.

Eligible patients must be aged 40- 49 years (inclusive) and at high risk of developing type 2 diabetes as determined by the patient filling out a diabetes risk assessment tool. Patients can ask their GP or Reception staff for this form at anytime.

Mental Health Care Plans are for people with a mental illness. A Doctor will use a plan to help you work out what services you need, set goals and decide on the best treatment options for you. It may also include what to do in a crisis.

A Home Medicine Review is a review of a patients medication by their Pharmacist and Doctor. Patients on 5 or more medications are eligible for this service.

Point of Care testing is pathology testing that is performed during a patient consultation and allows for a rapid test result to be generated and used by your doctor to make an immediate, informed clinical decision. Such tests can be used for example to manage diabetes or warfarin requirements.

Please ask your doctor if this testing could be beneficial for you.
